Founder Patti Mertz has spent more than three decades focusing her marketing, business development and public relations skills serving Oregon’s design and construction industry. After a decade of directing the marketing and business development department for one of Oregon’s leading architectural firms, she founded Mertz & Company in 1994. Since then, Patti has been instrumental in winning new business for her clients, securing targeted publicity, and achieving measurable results.

A graduate of the University of Oregon’s Business School, Patti has led workshops and published articles on a variety of a/e/c marketing and PR topics. She was among the first generation of Oregon's SMPS (Society of Marketing Professional Services) chapter serving in several leadership board positions over ten years.

An active member of her community, Patti volunteered for several years on the board of the Lake Oswego School District Foundation, and is now contributing her marketing and public relations talents to City of Lake Oswego’s Tourism Advisory Committee.
